Events



UC Cycling Club helps cyclists learn the basics of riding, training and racing through group rides. Rides are supplemented with training trips. Racing is the ultimate goal though perhaps not practical for every cyclist.

  • To every event you must:
  • Wear a helmet and UC jersey
  • Bring a spare inner tube in case of a puncture

  • Check out the group map for event locations.

    Monday
  • 5:30 PM training ride leaving TUC
  • Recovery ride, handling & discussion of weekend events

    Tuesday
  • 5:30 PM training ride leaving TUC
  • Sprints, handling & other topics
  • We will wait at the top of any climbs,
    and this is a good ride to attend first

    Wednesday
  • 5:30 PM training ride leaving TUC
  • Intervals, tactics, & strategy
  • We will wait at the top of any climbs,
    but this will be a faster ride

    Thursday
  • 5:30 PM training ride leaving TUC
  • Expect a few hills and a few hours of riding
    As always we will wait at the top of the climbs

    Saturday
    Racing otherwise the following:
  • 10:00 AM ride leaving TUC
  • Expect a few hills and a few hours of riding
    As always we will wait at the top of the climbs

    Sunday
    Racing otherwise the following:
  • 9:00 AM at Hyde Park Square
  • ~3 hour ride
